File Size 12kb JS + 6kb CSS:
By utilizing the principles of progressive enhancement and leaning
heavily on markup-driven configuration the file size of jQuery Mobile
remains quite small. The JavaScript for the alpha release is only 12KB
and the CSS is a mere 6KB. Very few images are used in the design of
the framework (mostly icons) – instead making heavy use of CSS.

Supported devices:
For the alpha release, the following devices have been tested and
should have a fairly solid jQuery Mobile experience. That being said,
there are still a fair amount of bugs and performance improvements to
be tackled before the 1.0 release in January.
  Apple iOS: iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad (all versions)
  Android: all devices (all versions)
  Blackberry Torch (version 6)
  Palm WebOS Pre, Pixi
  Nokia N900
