And it feels a lot more like something you already know compared to
OpenLaszlo. OO+XML+JavaScript and the underlying Flash runtime is a
lot of new stuff for many developers. And there are enough books
available, which make things easier.

You can drop bits and pieces into standard HTML after the fact to spiff it up. I don't think it can or will ever be as powerful as OpenLaszlo, but it's ease of adoption is a strong attraction.
