[Laszlo-user] support for older browsers?

How does openlaszlo-4.0 intend to support older browsers?  I think the 
answer is "it doesn't"

I'm trying to get my GNU-zealot buddies to play with Laszlo now that the 
output renders on IceWeasel, a "free" rebranding of Firefox.
They mostly work on technology services and web apps for non-profits and 
often have to support older hardware.
