Hi Lucas,
I actually started work on an open source recording component last
summer. Bret Simister, Laszlo co-founder and chief design-guy, helped
me with some wireframes for basic workflow. We felt it important to
integrate a little playback so you can review what you recorded.
The wireframes of the design and basic description are posted here:
