Henry, there are 2 Firefox plugins which I tested:
Furigana Injector
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/6178

xHTML Ruby Support
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1935

With those extensions you can navigate to a page containing Japanese and the Furigana will be displayed for Kanjis in the dictionary. Here's a screenshot of the CNN.co.jp site with Furigana switched on:


That's fantastic for anyone studying Japanese! Depends on the dictionary quality of course, since there multiple ways to pronunce Kanjis.
