[Laszlo-dev] deprecate extra confusing play params?

I put out this question in the a/v forum last week:

Despite activity on other threads, the silence is deafening on this  
one.  I can only conclude that no one else really understands or uses  
those APIs either.  I have an idea of how I can deprecate the play  
method args using code.  I'd also like to deprecate these attributes:

             this.autoplayStart,
             this.autoplayPause,
             this.autoplayLength,
             this.autoplayReset

Is there a mechanism for that?

Also, if anyone disagrees shout out now, but I think this will be a  
significantly improvement and the extra args have no test cases and  
likely don't work for whatever they are supposed to do.
