+ seems like there must have been a bug in the snapshot of the flex
compiler/libraries that I got last time (I thought I had updated to
their recommended revision, to get the swf10 Text layout framework
libs).

+ This update is a snapshot of their top of tree, so it is not a  
qualified release of the
flex compiler, but will probably be sufficient until their next  
official release.

Tests:

compile a test app such as

test/hello.lzx?debug=true

and see that app and debugger are sized to canvas in swf9/10
