It's been a while, but last time I looked all these "comet"
technologies didn't share the same heritage and while there are
techniques in common, there were also differences.
Dojo didn't start the tech, Alex Russell just coined the term, some

FYI: When we looked at this early last year, there were some
significant issues with the Tomcat implementation, which I hope/expect
have been fixed since then.
