According to this, the default for setting memory is bytes; I'm
pretty sure you want to change
--JvmMs 512 --JvmMx 1024
to
--JvmMs 512m --JvmMx 1024m
This will depend on how much memory your machine has. On my 2G
Macbook, I have this in
my .profile:
JAVA_OPTS="-Xmx1000m"
export JAVA_OPTS
