[Laszlo-dev] Java 1.5 features in compiler implementation?

I notice the subversion build instructions recommend Java 1.5,
but as far as I can tell, no 1.5 features are used in the openlaszlo  
java source.
Every now and then I want to use a 1.5 feature - should I refrain?
It's never been anything that was especially important...
