A few constructive comments on bug filing -- these mostly have to do
with that bug descriptions are often truncated in our communications
techniques, so it's important to get the core of it in the first part
of the summary.
- Please describe the problem in the summary, without reference to
the browser/OS, unless the problem is known/suspected to be specific
to a particular browser/OS.
- Even if a problem is specific to a particular platform, please put
the problem description first in the bug summary, followed by the
most important part of the environment.
- Try to list the *problem* part of the issue at the very beginning
of the summary
...so the bug summary of LPP-4878 that you created would be easier to
deal with as something like...
LZPIX Icons not drawn attached to the pointer when dragging multiple
pictures from photo pane to clips
although actually the vocabulary that we use for LzPix -- which
you'll pick up, don't worry about it --
is "thumbnails" and "cursor" and "grid" rather than "icons" and
"pointer" and "photo pane".
Moving on to the description:
If you later can clarify the description, as you did in the comment
below, it is preferable to edit the description rather than add a
comment, especially if work on the bug has not begun yet. We want the
description to have a complete and correct (ahem) description of the
bug; comments can track the progress of the bug, not change the
description. If a comment would change the bug description a lot, it
probably needs to be a separate bug.
