Ooh. This is great! This brings lzbutton's init time into the same  
neighborhood as the drawn buttons with no subviews!

Several test files that on my hot g5 used to kill the flash player  
("A script on this page is causing Flash Player to run slowly. Do you  
want to abort the script?") now load in < 10 s on my slow g4.
