Hi Mika,
I'm a huge fan of Hibernate. It would be wonderful to use it, but we're
trying to avoid being tied to any one server-side language or platform.
It wouldn't be too difficult to build an implementation of this
server ran on top of Hibernate, would it? We'd love your help (hint hint :)
When you think about the spec as an open HTTP-based protocol for
communicating changes to and from a record-based back end dataset how do
you feel about it?
Also, there may be licensing issues down the road for folks using
Hibernate in a commercial product based on OpenLaszlo. We tend to stick
with BSD-style licensed code for this reason.
