All,

I'll look into this a bit further as I have the time/opportunity.  I will
try version 3 too and see if that works too.  

I'm running JRun 4, I'm not sure of the exact patch level and for legal
reasons I'm not sure I can say at the moment either (I need to check).

JRun is on the same machine I did the build.  If this looks stable as I play
with it I'll roll it out to a production JRun server and see if it works
unmodified.

Wow, if you get a chance, can you try it with the 3.0 beta release? 

I wonder if there was some jar file mismatch when running the binary, but
some more compatible version of a jar file is being grabbed from your JRUN
evnironment at compile time when you do a build (are you compiling on the
same machine that your JRUN is on?)
