[Laszlo-dev] Cygwin

Hello all,
 
I'm trying to work though my first time building Laszlo.  I'm wondering if
to build Laszlo I need to use Cygwin.  The instructions at
http://www.openlaszlo.org/download/build/ are a little ambiguous regarding
this.  I get the impression that I can set various environment variables in
windows and that will suffice.  I set all the variables requested.  However,
when I build I see this set of messages returned:

I don't have the faintest (yet) what this means.  My guess is that I didn't
understand something in the instructions.
 
So, do I need to follow the instructions from Cygwin and not from Windows
Command?  Any help or tips would be appreciated.
