I noticed I had to manually 'chmod 755' all the binaries in WEB-INF/server/bin/ before I could compile for swf9 on unix - this happened with the war and .gz distributions.

Maybe doc for 4.1.1 if we haven't already?

Added to the Release Notes for 4.1.1. Moving to DingDong for a real fix.

This looks fixed now. I downloaded the nightly installer for OSX, and the binaries in server/bin and the flex binaries in WEB-INF/bin have their executable bits set. Compiling weather app for swf9 works.

(trunk 4 build r10717)

Files in WEB-INF/bin are all -rwxrwxrwx.
