The test case was rotten; it was relying on having an __LZtextclip, which of course it doesn't anymore in legals. I rewrote the test to check for the correct inner structure of a dhtml or swf text sprite, and now it passes.

Confirmed, but perhaps this ought to be made a new, separate item, for the new problem (in 4.0 branch) is not pertinent to the original summary "test fails in trunk and legals" .
